How to cook buckwheat

Step 1: Rinse 1 cup of buckwheat in running water

Step 2:

Combine the rinsed buckwheat with 2 cups of water in a pan.

Bring it to a boil.

Add salt if you like.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes for al dente or up to 12 minutes until the water is absorbed.

Step 3: Remove from heat, add some butter if you like, mix well and enjoy!
Alternative Methods:

Overnight Soaking:

Soak 1 cup of buckwheat in 2 cups of water for 2 hours or overnight. It will be ready to eat without cooking.

Buckwheat Porridge:

Replace water with milk to make a creamy porridge.
-
Storage:

Store cooked buckwheat in the fridge for up to 5 days.
